SAV strengthens its work with the appointment of its new general manager

In order to continue working to reduce the impact of oncological conditions in the country, the Sociedad Anticancerosa de Venezuela (SAV) has recently appointed Dr. Laura Salvestrini as its new general manager. Dr. Salvestrini began her time at SAV as an assistant to the General Directorate of the Prevention Clinic, a position she took on as leader shortly thereafter, remaining at the helm for 8 years. During that period, the clinic focused on developing actions that promoted the adoption of preventive measures and encouraged timely diagnoses, as well as opportune treatments, referred the new general manager of the SAV.

Likewise, one of his most outstanding achievements was "the formation of a cohesive work team, made up of medical, paramedical and administrative staff that operates with excellence," he added. Expectations of the new management Following her successful career in the previous position, the new SAV general manager hopes that the institution will become a benchmark in patient care, focusing on prevention and screening in the general population, and not only on those who have already been diagnosed with cancer. Likewise, Dr. Salvestrini aims for the operational self-sustainability of the SAV, for which she plans to promote donations and raise funds through various activities. Finally, the general manager highlighted that she will also focus on reinforcing the most representative areas of the institution, such as: · Maintain the position of the SAV Prevention Clinic as a leader in the early detection of cancer. ·Increase visits of Mobile Clinic Units (UCM) to communities and companies. ·Enhance the Comprehensive Cancer Patient Assistance Program (AIPO). · Consolidate the work of the Education and Marketing departments.
