OMSA achieves savings of RD$524 million pesos in five months

Santo Domingo. – The general administrator of the Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA), Onésimo González, informed that the current administration achieved an economic saving of RD$524 million in a period of five months, resources that will be reinvested directly in the improvement of the public transport service received by the citizens. González explained that this saving was possible thanks to a process of administrative efficiency, reorganization and internal restructuring of the company, with a focus on optimizing the use of resources and ensuring that public funds translate into concrete benefits for users. "That money is going to be invested in offering a better quality of service," he assured. As a result of this management, the official announced that OMSA will have 40 new buses, which will be progressively integrated into the system with its own funds, strengthening the entity's operational capacity and contributing to the modernization of public transport in Greater Santo Domingo and other areas of the country.

The general administrator highlighted that these advances are part of a vision of institutional transformation that seeks to make OMSA more efficient, raise service standards, and respond to the growing demand for urban mobility, in coordination with the projects promoted by the Transportation Cabinet.
