Montecristi, D.R. – The Dominican Republic Army reported the arrest of a man transporting an illegal firearm and two foreign women in irregular migratory status, during a patrol operation in Montecristi.
The arrest took place in the Municipal District of Cana Chapetón, when the military identified a motorcyclist who drew attention due to his behavior. Upon inspection, they found an unauthorized pistol, along with its magazine and ammunition, hidden on his person.
The detainee, along with the two women and the motorcycle they were using, was taken to the 4th Infantry Brigade so that the corresponding authorities could proceed with the relevant legal measures.
