A 91-year-old Catalan man has become a father again, surprising those around him and generating debate about the limits of fatherhood at an advanced age. Pierre Sablé recently celebrated the birth of his daughter Louisa María, the result of his relationship with Aïcha, 39 years old.
The little one, who is currently seven months old, joins an extensive family marked by a notable generational difference: her siblings range in age from 60 years old to their thirties. Sablé was already the father of six children, all from different mothers, including one who passed away. His daughters are named Carole, Julie, Pauline, Céleste, and Jeanne.
In statements to the French newspaper L’Indépendant, the nonagenarian reviewed his family and sentimental history. “After my other women, Liliane gave me Carole, who is now 60 years old. Despite the age difference with his current partner, Sablé assured that his relationships have always been consensual. "Each time I've had a child with a different woman, almost always about fifteen years younger than me... The arrival of Louisa María has revived questions about her age and the time she will be able to share with her youngest daughter. He practices trail marathons, works the land, and engages in activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and cycling. He claims to maintain excellent physical fitness and continues to compete in races in the over-80 age categories.
