Trump says he has "nothing to hide" regarding Epstein and that he is "exonerated"

New York.- US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he has "nothing to hide" regarding the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and assured that he is "exonerated", as opposed to former President Bill Clinton and "many other Democrats". "I have nothing to hide. I have been exonerated. I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein", the president affirmed to the press on the presidential plane when asked about accusations from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that she and her husband are being dragged into the case and the Trump government is hiding something.

"In fact, Jeffrey Epstein was fighting for me not to be elected with an author, a bum, by the way, and I have been totally exonerated. They are being dragged and it's their problem," Trump reiterated.

The Clintons have agreed to testify before Congress in the investigation into Epstein on February 26 and 27, although neither has been accused of wrongdoing. Trump took the opportunity to attack them, pointing out that "Clinton and many other Democrats have been dragged" into the scrutiny of the documents on the investigation into Epstein, who committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial in which he was accused of sex trafficking of minors. Previously, Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 in Florida to state charges of soliciting prostitution with a minor, after which he was classified as a sex offender. You can also read: The Department of Justice has released more than three million pages of documents, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images related to the investigation into Epstein, but the process has been criticized by lawmakers and victims for delays and privacy failures that led to the temporary removal of thousands of files. The publication has been made in compliance with a law that obliges the disclosure of all documents related to the case of the deceased millionaire, linked to Trump, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as former President Clinton, former Prince Andrew of England, and other figures from high society.
