“They are not parents of families, they are transportation workers and transportation investors who fulfill a responsibility in which the State has failed them, they are the ones who have provided services for more than 20 years and many today suffer from diabetes, blood pressure and other diseases,” Hubieres expressed.

He explained that the promises made in the past by the Government have not been fulfilled, where they guaranteed medical insurance, decent pensions and taking out of circulation the cars in poor condition, from the corridors of the avenues Charles de Gaulle, Núñez de Cáceres and Winston Churchil. "Today they cannot be left helpless, as they have made investments in vehicles that they are still paying for at financial institutions and banks. Furthermore, President Luis Abinader, these are citizens who pay all taxes on spare parts, the family basket, schools, houses, universities and other consumption for life itself," Hubieres stated. He clarified that the State has not had a policy of removing from the streets vehicles that should not continue circulating, as well as not establishing clear rules for granting the benefits generated by the corridors, being known to the National Institute of Transit and Terrestrial Transportation (Intrant), the direction of the Mobility and Transportation Trust (FIMOVIT) and the Ministry of Finance. It was also pointed out that Fenatrano has reported to the Attorney General's Office all the abuses and robberies that are committed today against transport workers, as an act of responsible citizenship. "From Fenatrano we understand that this project where the State is the main and sole responsible for more than one billion pesos invested in buses, not counting other contributions, has to be a social and economic win-win investment for the workers of the Independencia corridor, the users, the citizenry and authorities without excluding drivers or owners," he added. And he added that he has fought for the operation of bus routes under the scheme that the Government has chosen, but with respect to the work and investment of the Fenatrano colleagues.
