The Dominican Petroleum Refinery (Refidomsa) reported that during the first quarter of 2026, it registered significant growth in the volume of fuel sales, consolidating an outstanding operational performance and strengthening its position in the national market. This growth in sales volume occurred in a context of stable operations and continuous supply, allowing the institution to respond effectively to market demand, despite the global crisis and the challenges of the international environment. As a result of this dynamism in sales volume, the institution also achieved outstanding financial performance, accumulating profits of RD$3,638,677,000 between January and March 2026, a figure that exceeds the total profits of RD$3.2 billion recorded throughout the year 2025. The quarter's performance was marked by a historic milestone in March 2026, when Refidomsa recorded profits of RD$2,260,443,078.

The monthly performance reflects a growing evolution throughout the period:

  • January 2026: RD$459,183,303
  • February 2026: RD$919,051,209
  • March 2026: RD$2,260,443,078
In addition to the growth in sales, the Refinery highlighted that these results were achieved while maintaining normal operations and ensuring the continuous supply of fuels throughout the national territory, even in a challenging international environment. When referring to this performance, Samuel Pereyra, president of Refidomsa, stated: "This growth in sales volume and profits is the result of management focused on efficiency, planning, and the ability to respond to market demand and the challenge of the environment. At Refidomsa we have demonstrated that it is possible to strengthen our operations while fulfilling our responsibility to ensure the timely supply of fuels to the country." Refidomsa reaffirms its commitment to efficiency, transparency, and driving progress for the Dominican Republic.
