Santo Domingo. – Reyes Guzmán urged the Dominican public to disconnect from digital screens and immerse themselves in the cultural experience of the International Festival of Performing Arts (FESTAE 2026).
During his speech, Guzmán highlighted the importance of art in times when a large part of the population remains focused on the use of cell phones and digital platforms.
"It's very interesting, and even more so when a country needs art, especially at times when people are very focused on their cell phone screens, on YouTube. When one gets out of those screens and sees something interesting in the theater, they enjoy it much more," he expressed.
The artist took the opportunity to encourage citizens to attend the event and experience each of its stage proposals.
