The victim was identified as Lizandro Medina Rodríguez, alias “El Cacú”, 23 years old, who was shot in the abdomen in the middle of the confrontation that occurred in the middle of the public road. The law enforcement institution indicated that the handover of the detainee was facilitated by a family member who identified herself as a lawyer. The accused was transferred to the Homicide Department of the Dicrim and will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the Dominican Republic for the corresponding legal purposes.
