Puerto Plata.– A Canadian tourist was found dead early this Friday morning on the beach of the Senator hotel, located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.

At the moment, the exact circumstances in which the event occurred are unknown. The authorities indicated that they are awaiting the official report from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) to determine the causes of death. Both the National Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office have initiated an investigation to clarify what happened. Meanwhile, the case has generated consternation among the guests and staff of the tourist establishment.
