Four-year-old child wounded by gunshot during shootout in El Seibo

El Seibo.– A four-year-old boy was injured by a gunshot on Monday night, in an incident recorded in the Villa Guerrero sector, in the province of El Seibo.

The minor was immediately transferred to the Dr. Teófilo Hernández Hospital, where he remains admitted under medical observation. According to preliminary reports, his condition is stable.

According to versions offered by the authorities, the incident occurred while the infant was playing in the yard of his home, at which time he was hit by a stray bullet during a shooting recorded in the area. The National Police reported that it initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances of the event and locate those responsible, in order to bring them to justice.
