In that regard, the naval institution specified that the boy left on August 26th and that the boat was later found adrift. Following that discovery, the authorities intensified the search and expanded the search area from Sosúa to the coasts of Montecristi, with the hope of finding him alive.
On the other hand, naval auxiliaries, local fishermen, and helicopters from the Dominican Air Force (FAD) are involved in the search for the missing person, conducting flyovers and providing support in maritime search operations. The Navy also noted that the young man left without the proper authorization and clearance required by the regulations for small boats, which complicates the location efforts.
