La Romana. — In an unprecedented act for the municipality, the mayor of Villa Hermosa, Eduardo Familia (Kikilo), led this Friday a transcendental meeting with the main regional authorities, where he presented an ambitious comprehensive development plan focused on infrastructure, tourism, culture, road connectivity and environmental education, with the aim of significantly transforming the quality of life of the municipal residents. During his intervention, the mayor reaffirmed his commitment to the progress of Villa Hermosa, highlighting a clear and structured vision for the development of the municipality. "Each of these projects is designed to solve historical needs and to build, brick by brick, the future that our people deserve. We are not promising, we are working to make a definitive transformation for Villa Hermosa a reality," said Mayor Familia.

Transformation of 14 de Junio Avenue, also known as the “Ruta del Picapiedra”, into a modern dual-lane road with a direct connection to the Coral Highway.

Implementation of the "Basurín goes to School" Program, an innovative environmental awareness campaign that will bring messages about caring for the environment, proper waste management, and the importance of keeping their municipality clean to elementary and middle school students. The mascot Basurín, a humanized trash can, will be the main character of this initiative that seeks to instill ecological values in the classroom and train citizens committed to a cleaner and more sustainable Villa Hermosa. This meeting marks a firm step towards a proactive, inclusive municipal management oriented towards sustainable development, consolidating Villa Hermosa as one of the demarcations with the greatest growth potential in the Eastern region of the country.
