Santiago. – Ronny Abel Sánchez Morillo, alias “Mudita”, will be prosecuted solely for the homicide of Rafael Nicolás Puello Santos (Bulilo), which occurred on March 19, 2024, and not for his alleged involvement in the case of La Barranquita, where five men died in an alleged confrontation with the National Police in Santiago.
According to the accusation, Sánchez Morillo participated in the death of Puello Santos, who was shot from a moving motorcycle while he was with several people near his residence, in the Hato Mayor sector.

A source linked to the Public Ministry indicated that “Mudita” will not be prosecuted for the events that occurred in La Barranquita, although witnesses and the police themselves claim that he was present in the exchange of gunfire and that he managed to escape aboard a white, unplated Mazda jeep. Sánchez Morillo was on the list of the ten most wanted men in Santiago. According to police reports, he headed a criminal structure linked to hired killings, arms trafficking, kidnappings, compulsory debt collection for drug debts, and drug trafficking. It is expected that in the coming hours the Public Ministry will request coercive measures against "Mudita", considered by the authorities as one of the main ringleaders of organized crime in the North region.
