That the writers of "The Simpsons" are able to predict the future with the events and characters of the series is nothing new, but in the finale of the current season, number 36, a prediction was added that left more than one fan with a lump in their throat: Marge Simpson dies and looks down from heaven at her children.
Before someone puts a photo of Marge on the same altar where Bleeding Gums Murphy and Poochie, the alien dog, appear, it is necessary to clarify that in reality the writers created a story in which Marge Simpson is distressed thinking about the possibility that Bart and Lisa will not have a relationship once they reach adulthood and she "is no longer there".

It's that at the end of the 36th season of "The Simpsons" Marge Simpson is 34 years old and in good health. She is, as could not be otherwise, the one who runs the house and balances with her order the chaos that Homer Simpson brings (and many times also Bart).
Without giving details of how and when the death of the blue-haired matriarch will occur, the story jumps 35 years to show Bart and Lisa in realities as parallel as when she was President of the United States and he, a failure.
In this new chapter Lisa is the NBA commissioner and covers the cost of having Homer in a nursing home that is fraudulently managed by Bart.
When Springfield's Elderly Protection Service orders Homer to be sent to a suitable institution in Florida, Lisa goes through the things in the old family house and finds a message from Marge expressing her wish that she and Bart always support each other. The Simpsons' eldest children reconcile and try to face their widowed father's old age, for the peace of mind of their saintly mother, who watches them from a cloud while her new husband, Ringo Starr, invites her to the shrimp buffet in paradise.
