Los Ángeles.- Rapper Lil Nas X gave his first public statements this Tuesday after leaving prison, assuring that "it was terrifying" but that "everything will be fine".
The singer, whose real name is Montero Hill, appeared before a judge on Monday and pleaded not guilty to four criminal charges, after having been arrested last Thursday by the authorities while walking in his underwear on the streets of Los Angeles.
The celebrity news outlet TMZ later captured images of the 'Industry Baby' performer leaving prison, and the rapper used his Instagram account to reassure his followers by saying that "everything will be alright."
"It was four terrible days, but his girl (referring to Nas himself) is going to be okay," the singer said, speaking to the camera.
Hill faces three counts of assault on a police officer and one count of resisting arrest, according to court documents filed yesterday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, NBC News reported.
The bail for these charges was set at around $75,000, according to the specialized media outlet The Hollywood Reporter.

The singer will have another preview of the trial on September 15 and could face a sentence of up to five years in prison if found guilty. The charges follow his detention last Thursday after Lil Nas X was seen walking in the middle of a street wearing white briefs and cowboy boots in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles. The 'Old Town Road' singer began hitting the officers who arrived at the scene after several warnings from residents, which led to his arrest and admission to a hospital for a possible overdose. After being discharged, he was transferred to prison.
