PORT-AU-PRINCE. – Jimmy Cherizier, alias “Barbecue”, leader of the armed coalition G9 in Haiti, sent a message to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after the US agency increased the reward for his capture.
In a video broadcast in local media, the former police agent stated that he is willing to collaborate with the authorities of United States, but established as a condition that the accusations linking Basil Richardson with the financing of his armed operations be withdrawn.

"I am willing to cooperate, but no more lies about Basil Richardson," stated Cherizier, defending the innocence of the person he described as a man unrelated to his activities and assuring that he has never received financial support from him. The pronouncement comes amid the resurgence of violence in Haiti and international efforts to capture the main leaders of the armed gangs operating in the country.
