New York.- U.S. President, Donald Trump, asked his advisors if the behavior of Elon Musk, with whom he has had an explosive virtual confrontation that has led to their broken relationship, could have been related to a presumed drug use by the technology magnate, CNN reported.
"Privately, he seeks to understand the tech billionaire's criticisms, while publicly signaling that he doesn't care," reports the American chain, citing a source familiar with these conversations.
However, Trump declined to comment publicly on this matter on Friday night from Air Force One: "I don't want to comment on his drug use. I don't know… I don't know what his situation is," he said then.
This information contrasts with the statements the U.S. president gave to that same media outlet yesterday, where he stated that "he wasn't even thinking about Elon" and that he wouldn't speak with Musk "for a while."
"The United States can survive without almost anyone, except me," he also expressed from Air Force One to the press, but emphasizing that he was only joking.
The Shadow of Drug Use
It's not the first time that Musk's ketamine use has come to light, although it's under medical prescription according to the CEO of Tesla.
A week ago, The New York Times published a report titled 'During the Election Campaign, Elon Musk Juggled Drugs and Family Drama'.

"As Musk entered President Trump's orbit, his private life became increasingly tumultuous and his drug use was more intense than previously believed," continues the article, which has been followed by other journalistic pieces such as 'The Chaotic Personal Life of Elon Musk,' as another report was titled five days ago.
"There are times when I have a kind of negative chemical state in my brain, like depression, I suppose, or depression that is not related to any negative news, and ketamine helps to overcome that negative mental state," Musk stated in an interview with CNN over a year ago, where he added that he is prescribed it to be able to consume it and that he took "a small amount once every two weeks or so."
It is recalled that the clash between Musk and Trump began on Thursday at noon with words from the president in response to criticism from the richest man in the world of the fiscal and budgetary plan promoted by the Republican leader, which according to estimates may increase the country's public debt by more than 2 trillion dollars.
