Kamala Harris will publish a book about her failed electoral campaign

Washington.- Democratic former presidential candidate Kamala Harris announced this Thursday the publication of a book in which she will reveal the ins and outs of the campaign of last year's US elections in which she was defeated by Donald Trump.

The book will be published on September 23rd under the title '107 days', the time that his campaign lasted, the shortest in the recent history of the United States, given that he assumed the Democratic candidacy after the abrupt resignation of his running mate, former President Joe Biden.

"What the world saw during the campaign was only part of the story. My new book is a behind-the-scenes look at my experience leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history," wrote the former vice president on social media X.

"It was intense, of great importance and deeply personal, for me and for many of you," added Harris in a video.

The announcement comes a day after the Democratic leader announced her decision not to run for governor of California in 2026, after several months of reflection. Harris, the first woman to hold the Vice Presidency of the United States (2021–2025), assumed her party's presidential candidacy in the midst of the electoral campaign, after Biden withdrew following growing doubts about his health, but was defeated by Trump in the November 5th elections. According to local media, the former vice president will give her first interview since the elections on Thursday on comedian Stephen Colbert's show, recently canceled by the CBS network amid suspicions of alleged pressure exerted by Trump, a frequent target of the humorist's criticism.
