Morocco arrests eight people involved in the resale of Africa Cup tickets

Rabat.- Moroccan Judicial Police have arrested eight people suspected of involvement in the illegal resale of tickets for the Africa Cup of Nations football matches, which is currently taking place in Morocco, a security source informed EFE this Tuesday.

According to the source, the computer surveillance services of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN, police) detected advertisements on social media offering tickets illicitly.

Technical and field investigations allowed the identification of the suspects, who were arrested in operations that took place in the cities of Rabat, Temara, Agadir, Salé, Marrakech and Mohammedia, the source specified. The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor's Office to clarify the circumstances of the events, while investigations continue to locate other possible accomplices.
