Washington.- The president of the United States, Donald Trump, once again claimed this Wednesday that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for having ended, according to him, seven wars, although he was skeptical about the possibility of receiving it and suggested that the committee could look for a pretext not to grant it.
“I don't think anyone in history has solved as many (wars), but maybe they'll find an excuse not to give it to me,” Trump said when asked by the press if he expects to win the award, the winner of which will be announced this Friday.

He also added that he is confident in being able to resolve the war in Ukraine.“We solved seven wars. We are close to solving an eighth, and I think we will end up solving the situation with Russia,” declared Trump, who stated that “many countries” have nominated him for the Nobel Prize.
Trump often claims to have ended seven international conflicts: Cambodia-Thailand, Kosovo-Serbia, Democratic Republic of Congo-Rwanda, Pakistan-India, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, and Armenia-Azerbaijan. However, experts point out that it has not promoted any formal peace treaty and that, in several of those conflicts, only fragile truces were reached. Authorities in countries such as Israel, Pakistan, Cambodia, Armenia, or Azerbaijan have nominated or expressed their support for the Republican to receive the award. Trump has never hidden his desire to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, especially since former President Barack Obama, his great political rival, received it in 2009.
