The victory was the fourth consecutive for the Bulls, who improved their record to 24-17, including a 12-8 away record, and reduced their magic number to two to secure their qualification. "I was trying to do my best as always. Thank God I was given the opportunity; I was looking for a good pitch to swing at and I was able to connect well," expressed Jiménez after the game, when interviewed by Emary Ugarte for the press of the Romanense team. Jiménez connected his fourth home run of the season —the tenth of his career in LIDOM— by punishing a curveball from starting pitcher Shaun Anderson, sending the ball 387 feet to left-center field in the second inning. With that home run, the starting pitcher tied José Offerman, Gerónimo Peña, Ronny Mauricio, Fausto Cruz, Ronny Rodríguez, Sammy Sosa and other hitters with ten career home runs in the circuit. In 29 games, Jiménez bats .221 (104-23), with 12 runs scored, four home runs, 18 RBIs, and 10 walks. Brooks (3-?) earned his third win of the season and left his ERA at 2.81 after eight appearances. In 32 innings pitched, he has struck out 27 batters, allowing 17 hits, 17 runs, 10 earned runs, and issuing seven walks.
