SANTO DOMINGO — Dominican players shone this Friday, June 6, in the Major Leagues, with outstanding offensive performances in several key games of the day.

One day after reaching the 350 home run mark in his career, Manny Machado responded again with the bat. The Padres de San Diego's third baseman hit his ninth home run of the season, a hit in the eighth inning that secured the 2-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dominican Wandy Peralta (3-0) earned the victory with an effective relief, while the Venezuelan Robert Suárez achieved his 20th save, league leader.

At Yankee Stadium, Rafael Devers also made his presence felt, although in a setback for his team. The Boston Red Sox third baseman hit his 29th home run against the Yankees, a two-run shot in the seventh inning. However, the Yankees prevailed 9-6 in the first game of the series.
