MIAMI. – Dominican-born singer Prince Royce was in charge of throwing out the first pitch before the game between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

The artist took to the field of LoanDepot Park in Miami before thousands of fans to star in one of the special moments of the pre-match ceremony, in which both teams faced each other in the group stage of the international tournament. The gesture was enthusiastically received by the Dominican fans present in the stadium. In the same ceremony, Dominican baseball legend Juan Marichal was also honored by throwing out another ceremonial first pitch before the start of the game, adding to the festive atmosphere surrounding the Caribbean duel. The match is part of Group D of the World Baseball Classic, a tournament that brings together 20 national teams and is played in venues such as Miami, Houston, San Juan, and Tokyo between March 5 and 17.
