Santo Domingo.- The Supérate Social Development Directorate delivered this Friday the Emergency Bonus to 2,190 families in the municipality of Villa Montellano, Puerto Plata province, affected by the recent rains.
Each family received an economic support of RD$7,000, which represents an investment of RD$15,330,000. The deliveries to these 2,190 families will continue tomorrow Saturday in the municipality of Villa Montellano.
This delivery arises in response to the announcement made by the general director of Supérate, Mayra Jiménez, and the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, who traveled last Tuesday to the municipality of Villa Montellano to announce this measure in attention to the affected families.
The institution anticipates that this Emergency Bonus will reach families in Valverde, Santiago, Distrito Nacional and Santo Domingo."From the Government, we reaffirm our commitment to accompany and protect families in vulnerable situations, with a timely response and a rights-based approach, especially in the face of the challenges posed by climate change," highlighted Jiménez.
