Puerto Plata.- The authorities involved in the search for the three-year-old girl Brianna Genao Rosario, clarified that the search has not been suspended this Thursday, despite the early departure of some of the technical personnel and some vehicles used in the operations taking place in the community of Barrero, Imbert municipality. During the day, the withdrawal of several vehicles belonging to the support teams was observed, including a black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, a white Tahoe, a Cemec unit transporting a specialized canine, as well as trucks from the National Police, the Public Ministry and vehicles assigned to FBI members, which generated unconfirmed versions about a supposed pause in the work. However, none of the institutions involved have confirmed the suspension of the search, and it was explained that the movement of personnel and equipment is part of operational and technical adjustments within an investigation that remains active and under strict confidentiality.

In that context, the National Police reported that this Friday the search radius will be expanded, after exhausting a wide perimeter during the previous operations, and that the work will be reinforced with a greater deployment of personnel and resources in new areas previously identified. The institution's spokesperson, Colonel Diego Pesquira, reiterated that the absolute priority of all authorities is to find the minor, specifying that the work only decreases at night for security and logistical reasons, but does not stop.

“A large perimeter was covered and tomorrow we continue with the same strength and intensity, expanding the search areas. The objective is only one: to find the girl Brianna”, Pesquira maintained.

The police spokesperson indicated that there are open lines of investigation, ongoing interviews, and areas pending search, so no further details are offered so as not to affect the process. Likewise, he confirmed that the work is carried out in a coordinated manner between the Public Ministry, the National Police, rescue organizations, and international agencies, whose support is maintained as part of the strategic efforts. Authorities reiterated the call for the population to collaborate with any information that may contribute to the location of the minor, while ensuring that they will continue to offer official information as investigations allow.
