Banreservas will take to Fitur 2026 a broad business agenda to continue boosting tourism investment in the DR

The Banco de Reservas has scheduled an extensive business agenda at the Fitur 2026 International Tourism Fair, where participation in attracting investment for the continuation of the country's tourism development is projected.

Fitur 2026 will take place between the 19th and 25th of this month in Madrid, Spain, where the banking institution will present various business proposals.

The CEO of Banreservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, will head the delegation that will meet with investors, tour operators, and developers linked to the sector, in addition to signing agreements with entrepreneurs and formalizing financing for new tourism projects.

The financial entity's cultural proposal will also be present, and will include the presentation of works by José Cestero, who recently passed away and whose paintings are a graphic representation of Dominican identity and idiosyncrasy. The decorative exhibition of the cocktail for investors that the bank will offer will be a posthumous tribute to the master of Dominican plastic arts.

For this version of Fitur 2026, it is planned to receive more than 9,000 exhibiting companies, 155,000 tourism professionals and a public gateway that would be around 100,000 people from more than 156 countries, according to the predictions published on the Ifema portal, the venue where the international fair takes place.

As every year, Banreservas will have a stand within the space dedicated to the Dominican Republic, to hold meetings with entrepreneurs and address the public's demand for information.

Banreservas' credit operations, as the main banking entity of the Dominican financial system, has contributed to boost the economy in recent years, in addition to promoting economic growth and the entire value chain impacted by tourism.
