As part of its national expansion strategy, Asociación Cibao de Ahorros y Préstamos inaugurated its first branch in the province of Puerto Plata, corresponding to the entity's number 58 office.
The opening expands the institution's territorial coverage and will allow it to offer its financial services in a province with economic activity linked to commerce, services, and tourism.
During the inaugural event, Rebeca Meléndez, Executive Vice President of Business, noted that this strategic opening responds to the commitment to the sustainable growth of the region. "We firmly believe that access to reliable, transparent, and timely financial services is a key element for the sustainable development of people, families, and businesses," she indicated.
Similarly, its executive president, José Luis Ventura, stated that the institution is arriving in the Bride of the Atlantic with a financial base to support the development of the province.
"This branch is part of a financial institution that, as of December 2025, reached assets of RD$111.145 million and a net loan portfolio of RD$66.161 million. With this financial base, we are here to support the development of the Bride of the Atlantic... After so many years longing to have a physical presence here to be closer, today we make it a reality," he assured.
The new space was conceived to provide a comprehensive financial offering that encompasses both personal and business solutions, supported by modern operational processes and attention channels aligned with the current needs of associates and clients.
In this province, the institution will continue to promote sustainability, not only from a financial perspective, but also by promoting social responsibility initiatives, financial education, and community support, convinced that growth is only authentic when it generates collective well-being.
Joel Díaz, branch manager, stated that this opening will allow direct service to customers in Puerto Plata and nearby areas, facilitating access to the products and services of the Cibao Association. He highlighted that the office was designed with accessibility and inclusion criteria, incorporating facilities for people with disabilities, as part of the institutional commitment to equitable financial attention for all.
In this province, the Association will also continue to promote its comprehensive vision of sustainability, which transcends the financial perspective, to also promote social responsibility initiatives, financial education, and environmental management, convinced that growth is only comprehensive when it generates collective well-being.
With the opening of this branch, the Cibao Association continues the expansion of its network of offices nationwide, strengthening its service structure and its presence in different provinces of the country.
