The application anticipates a significant increase in the demand for travel requests and makes its technological solutions available to accompany Dominicans during this celebration
Santo Domingo.- Mother's Day has become one of the dates with the greatest mobility and family gatherings in the Dominican Republic. According to DiDi data, during this celebration last year the demand for travel requests increased by nearly 30% compared to the previous week, recording peaks of up to 50% from noon onwards.
Faced with this scenario of high demand, DiDi is preparing to continue accompanying Dominicans through different technological solutions and savings alternatives available in the app, seeking to facilitate transfers to family gatherings, restaurants, social activities, shopping centers and recreational spaces during one of the most active days of the year in Greater Santo Domingo and Santiago.
"At DiDi, we know that Mother's Day is one of the most special celebrations for Dominican families: a date to reunite, share around the table, hug Mom and celebrate together those moments that make a home. Therefore, from DiDi we want to accompany thousands of people on this significant date, making it easier for more Dominicans to get closer to their loved ones in a practical and safe way, with savings alternatives available in the app so they can enjoy this special day with those they love most," said Douglas Quesada, communications manager for DiDi.We recommend reading:Cemeteries prepare to receive thousands of visitors for Mother's Day
