Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. — Urban artist Don Miguelo announced the cancellation of all his performances until further notice, following the death of his father in the United States.
Through a statement released on his social media, the interpreter explained that the difficult personal time he is going through, added to pending commitments in the country and in San Martín, led him to make the decision to take a temporary break in his artistic career.
The exponent expressed that it is a stage of mourning that requires time and space, so he will prioritize being with his family. Likewise, he deeply thanked the displays of solidarity, affection and respect he has received from his followers, colleagues and loved ones.
"Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time," the artist stated, without offering further details about the circumstances of the death.
The suspension of his activities includes previously scheduled presentations in both the Dominican Republic and international venues, which has generated reactions of support from fans on social media, who have sent messages of condolence and strength.
As of yet, there has been no information on whether the events will be rescheduled or definitively canceled, although it is expected that their work team will offer more details in the coming days.
Don Miguelo is one of the most recognized exponents of Dominican urban music, with a consolidated career and a broad base of followers both nationally and internationally.
