Gobierno busca respaldo del PLD ante impacto económico por conflicto en Oriente Medio

Santo Domingo.- El Gobierno dominicano, representado por el ministro de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza, sostuvo una reunión con el expresidente Danilo Medina y dirigentes del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), en el que expuso su preocupación por las posibles repercusiones económicas de los conflictos en el Medio Oriente.

La reunión se centró en la necesidad de articular en consenso las acciones ante una crisis global que impacta sectores claves de la economía nacional, detalló Paliza.

Asimismo, expuso que el Gobierno se encuentra diseñando un plan para enfrentar los efectos derivados del aumento de la incertidumbre internacional, especialmente en lo relativo a los precios y la estabilidad económica.

Destacó la importancia de generar “sinergias” entre fuerzas políticas, apelando a la colaboración como herramienta para ofrecer respuestas a la ciudadanía.

Según explicó, el objetivo es mitigar los efectos de factores externos que escapan al control del país, pero que inciden directamente en su dinámica económica.

Por su parte, el expresidente Medina indicó que el PLD esperará la presentación formal del plan gubernamental antes de fijar una posición.

No obstante, aseguró que dicha propuesta será analizada por la dirección del partido, y que emitirá las debidas observaciones o sugerencias.

Estuvieron en el encuentro los ministros de Hacienda, Magín Díaz; de Industria y Comercio, Eduardo Sanz Lovatón; y el secretario general del PLD, Johnny Pujols.
