Valverde. - During operations carried out over the weekend in different locations in the provinces of Santiago Rodríguez and Valverde, patrols of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD), detained a total of two hundred and ninety-one (291) Haitian nationals in an irregular migratory condition.
ERD members carried out the interventions in the sectors of Mao, Ámina, Esperanza de Valverde and other locations in the province of Santiago Rodríguez.
The Army continues to steadily execute migratory interdiction operations, citizen security, and combat other illicit activities, in accordance with the instructions of the General Commander of the ERD and in support of the other State institutions.

Of the total detainees, one hundred and seventy-four (174) are men and one hundred and seventeen (117) are women, who were transferred to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the ERD, and subsequently handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for the corresponding legal purposes, in accordance with the provisions of the current laws.
