David Peterson (3-2) was one of the figures of the game, matching his personal best with 7.2 innings pitched, in which he struck out eight, including Japanese star Shohei Ohtani on three occasions. The lefty allowed only five hits and two earned runs. Edwin Díaz earned the save with a perfect four-out performance, including three strikeouts.
