Santiago.- The Unión Médica Clinic of the North received this Monday a distinguished delegation from the Senate and the House of Representatives of the State of New York, headed by State Senator Luis Sepúlveda, who was accompanied by legislators, academics and Dominican authorities.
The delegation was received by Dr. Julián Sued, president of the clinic's Board of Directors, who presented the medical, scientific, and technological advances that have established Unión Médica as a reference center for health in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
In his speech, Senator Daniel Rivera emphasized the importance of Santiago and its municipalities as a logistics and healthcare services hub in the Caribbean, highlighting the decisive role of Unión Médica in the development of the sector."Unión Médica's commitment is to continue innovating and offering services with the highest international standards, reaffirming our leadership in the region," expressed Dr. Sued in his welcome remarks.

For his part, state senator Luis Sepúlveda expressed his surprise at Santiago's sustained growth in recent years and praised the modernity and quality of Unión Médica's services, which he described as an institution with international-level sanitary conditions. The New York legislator also announced the preparation of a cooperation agreement between the State of New York and the Union Medical Clinic, with the aim of:- Strengthen management in the health area.
- Develop training programs for medical and technical personnel who can provide services in New York City.
- Implement scholarship programs in different branches of health, thus expanding academic and scientific exchange.
