Colombia.- A urology specialist was captured in Medellín, accused of sexually abusing at least 20 patients, in a case that is being investigated by the Attorney General's Office and that has revealed an alleged criminal pattern in private medical consultations.
According to the prosecution, the professional identified as Alberto Posada Peláez was brought to justice and must serve a security measure in a prison for the crime of sexual access or abusive sexual act on a person unable to resist. The capture took place in a parking lot located in the south of the city, after work carried out by units of the National Police.
The investigative activities, which lasted for several months, allowed for the association of at least 20 formal complaints filed by victims in Medellín. According to the Prosecutor's Office, these coincidences show a possible pattern in the doctor's behavior, related to the violation of sexual freedom and the integrity of his patients.
