The feat occurred during the game against the Milwaukee Brewers at PNC Park, when Cruz hit a monumental home run against a high fastball from pitcher Logan Henderson. The ball flew 432 feet and fell directly into the Allegheny River, without the batter even leaving the batter's box.
This hit breaks the previous record of 122.4 mph, also held by Cruz since August 2022, and surpasses the previous hardest home run, hit by Giancarlo Stanton (121.7 mph in 2018).
With this historic performance, Oneil Cruz continues to establish himself as one of the most explosive and powerful players in Major League Baseball, redefining the limits of offensive power in the modern era of baseball.
