The
National Police is actively searching for a man accused of allegedly killing his partner by
strangulation, a
16-year-old teenager, in an incident that occurred on a farm located in the
Los Arrayones area of
Básima, in the municipality of Villa Altagracia.
The alleged author was identified as "Raudy Jiménez Dicent" (a) "Ayendi", 24 years old, who is actively pursued by the authorities after being identified as the main suspect in the death of the minor, identified as "Abril de Jesús Puello".
The spokesperson for the law enforcement institution, Colonel Diego Pesqueira, reported that the investigations are in a preliminary phase and that they are awaiting the results of the autopsy performed by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) to officially confirm the cause of death.
"
Preliminary, it is presumed that the young woman was strangled by her sentimental partner, but we are awaiting the results of the INACIF to clearly establish the cause of death", explained the police spokesman.
Pesqueira also indicated that, so far, there are no formal reports of disappearance or prior complaints of gender violence against the alleged aggressor, although the authorities continue to expand the investigations to determine if there was a history of conflicts between the two.
Additionally, the role played by the suspect in the property where the event occurred is being investigated, because it is preliminarily presumed that he worked or took care of the farm.
The National Police urged Raudy Jiménez Dicent to surrender through the means he deems appropriate, while search efforts continue for his location and subsequent placement at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
