ProCibao 2026 consolidates its positioning as an important platform for the internationalization of Dominican companies, by registering business intentions for US$46.8 million during its international business round.
This figure represents a 67% increase compared to the previous edition, which reached US$28 million, demonstrating the growing interest of international buyers in the exportable offer of the North region.
During the event, held at the Dominican UTESA Convention and Culture Center, multiple meetings were held between local companies and delegations of buyers from markets such as Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Spain, Colombia, Bonaire, Trinidad and Tobago, Curacao, Aruba, Jamaica, and the United States.
The business rounds were organized in partnership between the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) and the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santiago. With the aim of facilitating and promoting concrete business opportunities, fostering strategic alliances and strengthening the export projection of the northern region of the country.
It is important to highlight that the business meetings were notable for generating concrete opportunities in sectors such as construction, hardware, agriculture, fresh products, processed and frozen foods, premium agro-industrial products, mass consumption, spices, condiments, personal and home care, packaging, manufacturing, and handicrafts.
These results reflect the strengthening of the competitiveness of Dominican companies and the positioning of the North region as a reliable and attractive supplier in international markets.
ProCibao continues to consolidate as a space for the development of business alliances, market expansion, and the promotion of exports, contributing directly to the country's economic dynamism.
