Student groups call for a candle lighting for the death of Ángel Manuel Luna in SFM

Student groups invited students and the people of San Francisco de Macorís to participate in a candle lighting scheduled for today at 7:00 pm, in the upper part of the city, where the young Ángel Manuel Luna resided. According to reports, the 16-year-old teenager lost his life after being hit and knocked off his motorcycle by a mixed patrol of the National Police and the Army.

The event has generated consternation among community members, students, and grassroots organizations, who continue to demand justice and an investigation into what happened.
