Tragedy in Bayaguana: Seven-year-old dies from drowning in a recreational area

Bayaguana, Monte Plata. – A tragic incident claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy on the afternoon of this Sunday, while he was enjoying with his family at the "La Jorqueta" spa, located in this municipality, as reported by the competent authorities. The minor was identified as Fredilin Vicente Marte Montero, a resident of the El Tamarindo sector, in Santo Domingo Este. After the incident, the infant was assisted by personnel from the National Emergency and Security Attention System 9-1-1 and urgently transferred to the Municipal Hospital Santo Cristo de los Milagros. According to the medical report, the child arrived at the health center without vital signs. Despite the efforts of the on-duty staff, who immediately applied cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, the minor showed no response.

The body remains in the health center morgue and will be transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding investigation purposes.
