Young man who had been missing for almost a week in Juncalito, Santiago, found dead with signs of violence

Santiago.- The lifeless body of a young man who had been missing for several days was found with signs of violence in the community of Juncalito, in this province, a fact that has generated consternation among his relatives, who for almost a week searched for him in hospitals, detachments and morgues of the city. The victim was identified as Roberto Daniel Cabrera Custodio, known as Robert, 29 years old, whose whereabouts were unknown to his relatives since last Tuesday, March 3rd. The body was located on the afternoon of Monday, March 9, in that rural area of Santiago and subsequently transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), where family members went to confirm his identity. You can also read: The young man's father, Pedro Cabrera, explained that, although the autopsy has not yet been performed, the authorities informed him preliminarily that it was a violent death, without offering further details at this time about the circumstances in which the crime occurred.

"So far I can't tell you what it presents, because until the autopsy is done I can't say one thing or the other," the father expressed.

He recounted that since his son disappeared, he began a desperate search, visiting different institutions in search of information, including the José María Cabral y Báez hospital and the Homicide department of the National Police, without obtaining answers until the discovery of the body. Authorities reported that they are keeping investigations open to clarify the circumstances in which Cabrera Custodio was killed and to find those responsible for the act.
