The Warriors' point guard was unable to participate due to a hamstring strain suffered in the first game of the series, and his absence left Golden State without a clear offensive reference. The lack of offensive fluidity was evident from the start: Steve Kerr's team closed the first quarter with just 15 points and went into halftime with only 39 on their scoreboard.

For their part, Minnesota showed a solid and team-oriented performance. Julius Randle, the most outstanding of the Timberwolves in these 'playoffs', shone again with 24 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds. Anthony Edwards contributed 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker was key coming off the bench with another 20 points.

In the Warriors, the top scorer was Jonathan Kuminga, who came off the bench and scored 18 points. Jimmy Butler scored 17, and Trayce Jackson-Davis and Buddy Hield contributed 15 each.

The series now moves to San Francisco, where the Warriors hope to get Curry back and also regain their feelings after a game in which they were clearly outplayed.
