Santo Domingo.- The communicator and influencer based in Miami, Ángel Martínez, offered a public apology to the former Vice Minister of Climate Change of the Ministry of Environment, Milagros De Camps, after she filed a complaint against him before the Prosecutor's Office of the National District for alleged defamation and insult, as a result of statements made by the communicator that, according to himself, were taken out of context.
Through a video circulating on social media, Martínez acknowledged his mistake and addressed De Camps directly with the following words:
"At one point I made some statements that I believe were unfair. Milagros, my girl, if an apology helps you, here I am. I think I was unfair to you, a professional like you, with a bright future and a promising future," said the communicator.

The apology comes amid other legal actions against him, as Martínez faces multiple lawsuits for alleged defamation, fraud, and extortion. In addition, a court imposed a coercive measure that prevents him from leaving the country following a lawsuit filed by deputy Sergio Moya (Gory). The gesture has been interpreted as an attempt at rectification in the midst of the legal process, while the case continues under the jurisdiction of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
