Santo Domingo.- During the National Police meeting on citizen security, Minister Faride Raful presented a report on the behavior of the accumulated homicide rate, which currently stands at 8.3. Raful explained that 23 provinces in the country record rates below the national average, highlighting the province of Hermanas Mirabal as an example. However, he warned that the figures in terms of security are dynamic and may vary in the face of any eventuality.

“Any event can alter the stability of the homicide rate or influence the number of injured or robberies reported in a certain province,” he pointed out.
