The album opens with “La Despedida”, a collaboration with DFZM that sets the emotional and narrative tone of the album with raw and direct sensitivity. Another highlight is “Surferita”, with iZaak, a song that mixes the rhythm of ska with the Mexican tuba, creating a fresh, unexpected, and deeply Caribbean sound. "I'm Jealous," included in the Island Boyz tracklist, is the focus single of the album and promises to be the most important radio song in the coming months. The official music video, also available today, has been directed by Daniel Eguren, with creative direction by Pol Gago Guilera and César Laboy, from Vampire Studio, and produced by Vampire Films. "The idea was for it to sound like where I come from, but also like what I'm living now. Island Boyz is the most real thing I've done to date," commented Myke Towers about the process behind the album. The list of collaborators —Quevedo, De La Ghetto, Gabito Ballesteros, Manuel Turizo, Omah Lay, Ludmilla, DFZM, and Izaak— does not adhere to formulas, but rather to artistic affinities that amplify the vision of the album. Each participation adds nuances without blurring the narrative that runs through the project: a mix of vulnerability, celebration, and artistic evolution. With Island Boyz, Myke isn't looking for easy hits. He seeks permanence, authenticity, and sonic depth. The production, storytelling, and intention behind each track turn the album into a solid work, marking a turning point. The singles “Soleao” and “Expectativas” already hinted at the direction. Now, with the full album available on all digital platforms, Island Boyz reveals the entirety of a proposal thought out in detail. Furthermore, this past weekend, Myke Towers participated for the second consecutive year in the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game 2025, held at Truist Park in Atlanta as part of the official festivities of the MLB All-Star Weekend. The event brought together figures from music, sports, and culture such as Young Miko, Eladio Carrión, Jordan Chiles, Wisin and many others and benefited Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
