Jerusalem.- The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced this Sunday that the leader will rest for the next three days at his home after suffering intestinal problems last night after eating spoiled food, it was reported in a statement.

"In accordance with his doctors' instructions, the Prime Minister will rest at home for the next three days and will handle state affairs from there", the statement indicates.

The Israeli leader was diagnosed last night with an intestinal inflammation by the director of the internal medicine department of Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem after eating spoiled food.

Netanyahu, who according to the note is already feeling better, is receiving medical treatment with intravenous fluids for the dehydration he suffered from the intestinal inflammation.

In December of last year, the 75-year-old Israeli Prime Minister also underwent surgery to remove his prostate, which forced him to be absent for several weeks from the hearings scheduled for his corruption trial.

In July 2023, he also required surgery to have a pacemaker implanted, after a heart problem was detected during a medical check-up when he was admitted for fainting during a tour of the Sea of Galilee.
