Epstein "didn't kill himself" and his case is "a metaphor", says Tucker Carlson

The American journalist Tucker Carlson declared that he doesn't believe that President Donald Trump is involved in the case of the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, while highlighting the need for people to know the whole truth regarding said scandal. In a conversation with the journalist from the German media Bild Paul Ronzheimer, they addressed the Epstein case, which in recent weeks has become one of the most prominent topics after businessman Elon Musk claimed that the U.S. president is in the files of the late financial magnate.

In this context, the German journalist asked his interlocutor what's going on within the MAGA movement in the face of such insinuations. "I have no idea. What we do know is that there was a guy who was accused twice and convicted once of sexual offenses," Carlson began. "What we don't know is what he was doing and how he got hundreds of millions of dollars. Apparently, he didn't carry out any operations on [the] Wall Street [stock exchange]; he wasn't a trader. [...] Where did the money come from?", he asked. "And he had heads of state and high-level political leaders at his house all the time. [...] And there are many accusations, which may or may not be true," he added.

"He didn't commit suicide"

He also added that the case is surrounded by a lot of questions, including the enigmatic death of Epstein, but there is still no answer to clarify it. "I think we know enough for people to demand answers. And then there's the question of how he died. It's pretty clear that he didn't commit suicide", he said. In the same vein, the American journalist indicated that the case is "something that perhaps not everyone in the White House understands." "It's a metaphor, [since] it represents something bigger than it is", he expressed, referring to the fact that someone is always behind the decisions that are made and not telling something to the people. "Is a pedophile a matter of national security? No. Then, you start to wonder: 'Who is running it?'", he continued. In view of this, he underlined that, during his electoral campaign, Trump promised to reveal the truth behind some unsolved cases, such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy or Robert F. Kennedy, and to end the corruption that hinders doing so.

When sharing his opinion on the alleged complicity of the American president with the case, Carlson assured that he does not believe that to be the case.

"I don't think Trump had anything to do with Epstein. He knew him, but I would be sincerely surprised if there was any weird sexual thing with Trump. I just don't believe it," he stated. "And by the way, if such information exists, it would have been in the hands of the [former President Joe] Biden Administration during the last presidential race. Do you think they wouldn't have leaked it to Trump?", he added.
