Espaillat. – A bus returning from Río San Juan bound for the municipality of Esperanza, in Valverde province, suffered an accident this Sunday while descending the road from Jamao al Norte, in Espaillat province.
The vehicle was carrying dozens of people participating in an excursion, according to preliminary information. The exact number of injured after the accident is unknown at this time.
9-1-1 emergency system units arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance and coordinate the transfer of those affected to local health centers. Authorities are investigating the causes of the accident.
