Jimmy Pumarol regrets tragedy in Naco and clarifies that the aggressor is not his son

Businessman Jimmy Pumarol expressed his dismay this Wednesday over the tragic event that occurred in the Naco Dorado IV condominium, in the National District, where his nephew Jean Andrés Pumarol Fernández attacked several people with a bladed weapon, causing the death of a woman and leaving at least five injured. In a phone call with journalist Alicia Ortega, broadcast by Noticias SIN, Pumarol denied the initial versions that linked his son Willito to the event.

“Mi hijo no tiene ninguna relación con lo ocurrido, él vive en Orlando y se encontraba en Washington al momento del incidente”,

precisó.

Jimmy Pumarol confirmed that the attacker was his nephew Jean Andrés, who, according to his explanation, suffers from a severe psychiatric condition. "This tragedy has deeply affected our family. It is a painful and very difficult situation to process," he stated. The case has generated great shock in Dominican society, both due to the violence of the act and the family ties of the aggressor with recognized personalities. Investigations continue under the direction of the competent authorities.
