Santiago.- The judge of the Permanent Attention Office of Santiago, Yerixa Cabral, ruled this Friday three months of preventive detention against the six men accused of sexually assaulting a 21-year-old woman in Villa González, recording the act and disseminating the images on digital platforms.

The victim's lawyer, José Martínez Brito, described the decision as positive, considering it an important step in the judicial process. The accused must comply with the precautionary measure at the Mao Correction and Rehabilitation Center. The defendants are José Alfonso Rubiera Rodríguez (Fonso), Delfri de Jesús Rodríguez (Yiyo), Edwin Manuel Castro Guzmán (El Guaro), Javier Eduardo Núñez Toribio (Bebé), Oniel Rafael Pichardo Martínez (Contreras) and Yamir Fernando Pérez Toribio (Ferrere). The Public Ministry had requested 18 months of preventive prison and that the case be declared complex, alleging the plurality of defendants, the possibility of including other responsible parties and the variety of crimes, including sexual assault, criminal association and sexual assault by electronic means. According to the indictment, the crime occurred last March in a residence in the community of La Javilla, Villa González, where the victim was taken under the pretense that she would be transferred to a health center by Pérez Toribio and another fugitive involved.
